Suhasini holds a Masters in Health Psychology from University College London (London, UK) & completed her Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Behavioural Neuroscience from Northeastern University (Boston, USA). After returning to India, she completed her certification in Expressive Arts Based Therapy from UNESCO-CID in collaboration with Fortis Healthcare, & has since been working with individuals & groups in this setting. Her practice involves expressive arts based therapy techniques—a multi-modal approach utilizing movement/dance, visual art (painting, drawing, etc), writing & music in a therapeutic context. This method is intended for all ages, both in clinical applications such as with anxiety, depression, eating disorders etc. as well more generally for those dealing with life stress, interpersonal concerns, & health issues. In the past, Suhasini has worked in various capacities within the field of psychology including the development sector while at UNICEF as well as in scientific research. After finding her vocation in the clinical field, Suhasini is passionately committed to working one-on-one with people to improve mental health. Her diverse training has inspired her motivation to use a multi-dimensional treatment path that promotes emotional, mental as well as physical health to enhance a sense of wellbeing & quality of life. After living & working in five countries, she has developed an appreciation for working with multi-cultural communities & hopes to continue this. She is passionate about the creative process & looks forward to working with clients to reach their therapeutic goals through art.
