Week 3: On Becoming a Therapist – Working with Resistent Clients
Dealing with clients who may often be reluctant to open up in the therapeutic process can be a daunting task as a therapist. Certain skills are required to be able to make the environment comfortable for such clients. Similarly, during therapy, there can be blocks wherein a client becomes resistant to the process & refuses to work with the therapist (consciously or unconsciously). Again, the added bonus of roleplays will help in implementing the theory!
