Training & Internship in Counselling & Clinical Psychology (Weekend)
This customised weekend internship is designed for psychology students who wish to strengthen their foundational skills in Clinical and Counselling Psychology within a compact, structured format.
Through interactive discussions, case studies, guest lectures, and role-play exercises, participants will gain insights into therapeutic processes, ethical practices, and real-world challenges faced by mental health professionals.
The training equips individuals with essential tools to understand, assess, and support emotional and mental well-being. Participants will learn how to conduct psychological assessments, apply therapeutic modalities, and engage with clients using ethical, reflective, and culturally sensitive practices. The focus remains on developing compassionate and competent practitioners capable of working with diverse populations and complex psychological needs.

- Introduction to Becoming a Therapist
An immersive introduction to the therapeutic process, understanding what it means to hold space, build rapport, maintain boundaries, and develop self-awareness as a practitioner. This module sets the tone for reflective and ethical therapeutic practice. - Child and Adolescent Counselling
Explore the unique psychological needs of children and adolescents, from emotional development to behavioral challenges. Participants will learn how to create safe and engaging spaces for young clients and collaborate effectively with families and schools. - Intersectional Lens to Therapy
This module highlights how overlapping identities such as gender, sexuality, class, and ability influence mental health experiences. It encourages therapists to adopt inclusive, socially aware, and contextually grounded approaches to care. - Clinical Disorders and Psychometric Assessments
Students will gain a foundational understanding of common clinical disorders and how to approach assessment in a structured and ethical way. The module introduces key psychometric tools and the role of assessment in diagnosis and treatment planning.
