About Me

Therapy, to me, is a process of healing and growth. It provides an opportunity to learn, unlearn, and relearn, enabling individuals to better understand themselves and navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience. As a therapist, I believe my role is not fixed; it evolves based on the unique needs of each client. At times, I may be a guide, a facilitator, an educator, a supporter, or simply a compassionate listener.

My journey in psychology began in the 11th standard, and over the years, I have had the opportunity to work at multiple hospitals, special schools, and mental health institutes. I have also worked with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and the geriatric population. These diverse experiences have broadened my perspective and reinforced the importance of approaching every individual with empathy, curiosity, and without judgment.

This journey has made me humbler, more compassionate, and more accepting of people for who they are. While therapy allows me to support others in their healing, it has also shaped me personally. It has helped me become not only a better therapist but also a better human being, continually reminding me that growth is a lifelong process for both the client and the therapist.

Therapy style and modality

My therapy style is collaborative, client-centred, empathetic, and evidence-based and I integrate elements of person-centred therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, supportive psychotherapy, and solution-focused techniques based on the client’s needs. My aim is to provide individualized, evidence-based care while building a strong therapeutic alliance. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental, and trusting environment where clients feel heard and understood. I tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs, goals, personality, and readiness for change. While I provide guidance and structure when required, I also encourage clients to develop insight, autonomy, and effective coping skills.
