Dear Applicant,
Nine years ago, we started Karma Care with limited ideas, resources and a dream. A dream of making mental health resources available in a pleasure-positive, queer affirmative and accessible way to people in Delhi, since then we have seen growth and the ability to cater to our populations in the margins. It has been heartwarming to see our efforts go global over the years. What started small has gained so much momentum as an organisation since then.
Karma is more than just an organisation, it is a family. Our family is growing and we could not be more grateful. We constantly work towards creating a space that is comfortable, honest and pushes all team members to strive for their best. We are proud to say that we’ve created a culture where anyone can express their feelings honestly, where ideas are encouraged, and where we try to push beyond the norms.
As an organisation, we ensure that all concerns and matters are discussed with empathy and sensitivity. We work very hard at checking ourselves, our biases and our privilege. Especially as a Queer Affirmative Space, we ensure that every single team member receives training about the LGBTQIA+ community and various marginalized groups. As a counselling center, it is our topmost priority to maintain a space where we respect the dignity of anyone who approaches us.
