Topics Covered
-
- Developmental Domains & Task analysis via Play Materials
This workshop explores Developmental Domains and Task Analysis through play materials for children under 11, beginning from the perinatal stage, as this forms the foundation for task analysis. Task analysis provides a lens to break down play activities, helping us better understand the skills required while identifying a child’s strengths and limitations across motor, cognitive, language and social-emotional domains. Participants will learn to use play as a tool to foster growth and meaningful engagement. - Play media as a means of assessment and therapy
This workshop explores Play Media as a means of both assessment and therapy, using developmental milestones as a guide. Through play therapy, which serves as a child’s natural language, we gain insight into their strengths and challenges while providing an outlet for emotional expression. Play allows children to act out their feelings, helping therapists assess developmental progress and address emotional needs in a safe, engaging environment.
